Case Study – 3000 Williams Island
Large commercial curtain walls can be very expensive to upgrade to impact resistant glass. In most cases the curtain wall is in good condition and only needs impact protection to meet code and qualify for insurance discounts. 3000 Williams Island Condominium had this very situation. They have a beautiful, bay-style two story window that needed protection.
Until they found Armor Screen, it appeared the only option for impact protection was tearing out the entire window and replacing with impact glass. Replacing the curtain wall was a major renovation project and the cost was exorbitant. Armor Screen was able to offer a custom protection system at an affordable price. Utilizing our airbag system, C-Channel and pulley system Armor Screen was able to provide a custom system that staff could deploy quickly and without special tools.
